The ski and mountain resorts of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) are preparing to open the winter season 24-25. The first to do so will be Vall de Núria, tomorrow Saturday 30 November during the usual station hours, from 9 am to 5 pm. The rest of the FGC Turisme resorts, La Molina, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll, will open their doors from 6 September with the different leisure and gastronomic offers and with the slopes that are available if the weather conditions allow it.

Vall de Núria is the first to open and does so with the great attraction of the resort: the Leisure Park. Visitors will have access to tubbing, where they can slide down a long track with a giant donut, to the high-altitude balance course, where they will have to overcome bridges, ropes and obstacles, and to the climbing wall, to start safe climbing. In the coming weeks, the toboggan run will also be launched, which this season is opening a new area designed to enrich the experience of visitors.

As for the activities, the highlights are the outings along the walking paths, such as the tour of the lake or the Creu d'en Riba; the route of the historic bridges, which consists of covering a small itinerary of four old bridges that were already used in the past, or bird watching. From Saturday, the little ones will also be able to have a taste of Christmas with the game itineraries of "La Vall dels Tions", which are spread throughout the resort.

Visitors can also access to the exhibitions, such as "90 years of history. The Núria Rack Railway (located at Ribes Vila station); “Memories of Snow”; “The Valley of the 5 Elements” and “The Mountains of the TMFF Comic”. People who visit the Valley will also be able to access the Basilica and visit the Hermitage of Sant Gil. As for the gastronomic services, the hotel restaurant and the Finestrelles bar will be fully operational.

The Núria Rack Railway, the only means of access to the valley, will resume daily circulation coinciding with the start of the winter season at the mountain station. This year, a new Rack Railway winter season pass has been created, with unlimited access to this tourist transport from December 1 to April 30. This offer also gives access to the Coma del Clot Cable Car. The price for adults is €60 and for children, €37.

La Molina, Vallter, Espot, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll, next week

The rest of FGC Turisme resorts will open for the season next Friday, December 6, with the usual opening hours. La Molina, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll also have all the facilities ready and each one will open with the slopes available, if the weather conditions are favorable, and with a varied offer of recreational activities, such as chairlift rides, amusement parks, bicycle rental, adventure activities, etc., following the company's commitment to deseasonalizing activities and offering services beyond skiing. In this sense, the entire gastronomic and catering offer of the resorts will also be open, among which Vallter stands out this year, with a new offer of dinners at altitude at the Braseria Marmotes, located at the highest point of the resort.

Seasonal ski passes on sale

Seasonal ski passes for the six FGC mountain resorts can be purchased at a discount in the online stores of each of the tourist facilities' websites until Sunday, December 8. In addition, users who purchase the seasonal ski pass will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide selection of advantages such as promotions of up to 20% on ski lessons and discounts on accommodation and other activities.

The offer on seasonal ski passes applies to the following products:

• The FGC Turisme seasonal ski pass, which gives access to the six FGC resorts, Tavascan and the seven Tot Nòrdic resorts.
• The season passes for the FGC mountain resorts, which allow skiing in La Molina (Cerdanya), in the Ripollès resorts (Vall de Núria and Vallter), in the Pallars resorts (Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Tavascan) or in Boí Taüll (Alta Ribagorça), as well as in the Tot Nòrdic resorts.
• Finally, the season pass for mountain skiing, which allows two mechanical lift rides, as well as the practice of this type of skiing by offering unlimited access to 21 ski touring circuits within the FGC mountain resorts. With this pass, the practice of mountain skiing is facilitated, as it allows you to move quickly and gain altitude quickly.
