This new welcome space is located at the arrival of the Rack Railway at Vall de Núria station.
The new facility is the result of a collaboration agreement between FGC and the Natural Park.
The Vall de Núria mountain resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, together with the Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park, opens this Friday, December 6, a new welcome space with an information point at the arrival of the Rack Railway. This new facility, which will be open every day of the week and on public holidays, will have the presence of a Park informant to carry out environmental awareness tasks and explain to visitors the possibilities of responsible enjoyment in this natural environment.
Agreement to promote nature in the Catalan Pyrenees
This new information point not only provides information to visitors, but also reflects FGC's firm commitment to the protection of nature, as it is committed to sustainable mountain tourism, which combines tourist activity with environmental awareness. Through the dissemination of good practices, it seeks to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of preserving the natural environment.
In fact, this commitment is materialized in the collaboration agreements that are maintained with neighboring natural parks, such as the Natural Park of the Ter and Freser Headwaters in Vall de Núria. These agreements promote joint actions to promote the natural environment, sports and outdoor activities, always from the respect and conservation of the environment.
The Natural Park of the Ter and Freser Headwaters is located in the Ripollès region. It is characterized by being a territory with a great diversity of landscapes, a notable orographic complexity, a significant extension and a great altitudinal amplitude. These qualities make possible a rich geology, with a wide variety of alpine ecosystems.
