The emotions provoked by mountain landscapes are universal and do not take into account age, gender, profession or personal background. Martina and her 60-year-old mother Tania embark on a 6-month, 2300 km adventure to Alaska through the mountains. A congregation of nuns, a photographer buried by an avalanche, a passionate alpinist, a snow artist or a couple who have lived there for 50 years, what drives all these people to sacrifice everything to live in the middle of the mountains?
